Accounts assistant (maternity cover, part-time 15-20 hours per week) Grantown on Spey Office

We are currently seeking an experienced accounts assistant for maternity cover in our Grantown-on-Spey office. The role is part-time, 15-20 hours per week and we can be reasonably flexible on which days the right candidate is able to work. 

We are looking for someone who is able to undertake, as a minimum, the following:

  • accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • bookkeeping,
  • preparation of VAT returns
  • assisting clients with Sage and other accounts and bookkeeping queries

The right person will have excellent accounting and computer skills and be proficient with Sage, Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Experience of Quickbooks as well as Sage would be advantageous. Qualified by experience or AAT qualified with experience is also essential. 

This is a small friendly office therefore being flexible and able to work as part of a team is vital. 

Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to talk to and assist clients is crucial.
